US’s deadCENTER Film Festival to showcase Iran’s ‘Gray Body’

The deadCENTER Film Festival in the US is to screen Iranian animation ‘Gray Body’.

The deadCENTER Film Festival (dCFF) in the US has scheduled to screen Iranian short animation ‘Gray Body’.

Directed by Samaneh Shojaee, the animation will be showcased at the 20th edition of the US event in Oklahoma City.

‘Gray Body’ narrates the story of a doctor who checks his patients calmly.

The people he is visiting are some psychiatric patients who are waiting to see the doctor.

What cannot be expected of these people is to keep calm.

The film was also scheduled to compete at the ‘Animated Shorts’ section of the 30th New Orleans Film Festival and the Los Angeles Women’s International Film Festival, both in the US.

Both of the New Orleans and the Los Angeles events were slated for October 2019.

According to an earlier report, ‘Greyish’ written and directed by Eqbal Shirzaee-Sani will also compete at this edition of the deadCENTER event.

The deadCENTER Film Festival, hailed as one of the Top 20 Coolest Film Festivals in the World by MovieMaker Magazine, is an annual independent film showcase that highlights over 100 indie films from across the country.

The event will be held online due to the coronavirus outbreak on June 11- 21, 2020.
