Iran short ‘The Crossing’ to attend US fest

Iranian short ‘The Crossing’ is to attend DeadCenter Filmfest in the US.

Iranian short film ‘The Crossing’ has been slated to attend the DeadCenter Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Sara Ghafourian, the 19-minute short that has been originally produced as ‘Building 97’ will be in competition at the 20th edition of the American event.

The short is a feminine narration of some women in the 80s and 90s who are seeking to immigrate. It also shows their social problems.

Linda Kiani, Shabnam Farshadjou and Asal Hosseini are the tree female cast members of the flick.

According to earlier ifilm reports a number of other shorts including ‘Greyish’ are also set to compete at the event.

The deadCenter Film Festival, hailed as one of the Top 20 Coolest Film Festivals in the World by MovieMaker Magazine, is an annual independent film showcase that highlights over 100 indie films from across the country.

Over COVID-19, the event will hold online contention on June 11- 21, 2020 in Oklahoma City.
