Iran’s short film ‘Trophy’ has been picked out as one of the whittled-down finalists at the Southeast Regional Film Festival in the US.
Directed by Amir Lashkari, the 60-minute film made to the final list at the festival’s Thriller and Horror section.
“A male and a female student plays a joke on their teacher. They make fun of him. The teacher who has been humiliated by his students is slowly becoming dominant and takes revenge on them. This joke that started by the boy and the girl eventually leads to a disaster and dramatic end,” a synopsis for the film reads.
The short film stars Ali Hosseinzadeh, Nava Nemati, and Ashkan Hoursun.
The Southeast Regional Film Festival in the US will take place online on May 31.
