Mosafer-Astaneh was appointed as the secretary of the 39th Fajr theater festival on Wednesday.
He is one of Iran’s prominent writers and directors.
He has served as the head of several editions of the Fajr theater festival.
Mosafer-Astaneh has also served as the director of the Dramatic Arts Center.
He is famous for his play ‘Love Resurrection’ about the life of renowned 13th century Persian poet Mowlana (Mowlavi) Jaleleddin Mohammad Balkhi, aka Rumi in certain countries.
Mosafer-Astaneh would replace Nader Borhani-Marand who presided the last two editions of the FITF.
The annual Fajr International Theater Festival was established in the early 1980s.
It features local and international theatrical works and performers.
The 39th edition of the FITF is scheduled for January 2021.
