“Those things are so simple, so easy, if anybody cannot find it in themselves to practice those three very basic things -- I just think shame on you,” he added.
Hanks and his wife were diagnosed with coronavirus in March and quarantined while they were in Australia.
The couple was among the first celebrities who were infected by the deadly virus and gladly survived.
Both 63 years old, they have been married since 1988.
The flu-like deadly virus originated in China in late 2019 and later spread to more than 100 other countries.
