Seoul Int’l Women’s Film Festival to host Iran’s ‘The Visit’

The Seoul Int’l Women’s Film Festival in South Korea is to screen Iran’s ‘The Visit’.

Iranian short title ‘The Visit’ has been named as an official selection for the 2020 edition of the Seoul International Women's Film Festival (SIWFF) in South Korea.

Directed by Azadeh Mousavi, the film will take part at the Asian Shorts Competition section of the South Korean event.

“Elaheh is finally allowed to visit her husband, who is a prisoner, after six months. She and her little daughter Tara have one single day to get ready for the significant meeting,” a brief plot for the short film reads.

The film has previously attended the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France and the Palm Springs International Film Festival in the US.

The SIWFF is an annual event that first took place on April 1, 1997, which marked the second appearance of the international film festival in Korea following Busan International Film Festival.

The 22nd edition of the SIWFF is slated for September 10-16, 2020.
