Saeed Roustaee’s film on fight against drug trafficking goes on screen at the Supernova section of the Romanian film event.
‘Just 6.5’ tells the story of a veteran narcotics officer, Samad, who is on a mission to find and bring to justice Nasser, the biggest drug lord of the city. After the arrest has been made and Nasser gets his death sentence, Samad starts to wonder, whether his actions are of any good or this is an endless pursuit.
The film has already competed in a number of global events, including the Whānau Mārama: New Zealand Int’l Film Festival, the Jeonju Int’l Film Festival in South Korea, the Prague Int’l Film Festival in the Czech Republic, the Bengaluru Int’l Film Festival in India and the Pune Int’l Film Festival in India.
Established in 2002, TIFF is one of the most spectacular events in Romania. It aims to promote cinematic art by showcasing creative and exceptional films. It also includes an educational platform for the audience.
This year’s edition of the event kicks off today July 31 and it is set to wrap up on August 10.
