Iranian doc ‘Exodus’ to go to Taiwan

Iranian doc ‘Exodus’ is to go on screen at the 2020 Taiwan Int’l Human Rights filmfest.

Iranian documentary ‘Exodus’ has been selected to go on screen at the 4th edition of the Taiwan International Human Rights Film Festival.

Directed and produced by Bahman Kiarostami, the documentary is about a center for deporting Afghan refugees who entered Iran illegally.

Kiarostami’s documentary has participated at several film festivals, including the 12th Cinema Verite in Iran, the 16th Yamagata International Film Festival in Japan, the 30th New Orleans Film Festival in the US, and the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.

The Taiwan International Human Rights Film Festival will host films from Iran, Hong Kong, Austria, France, Taiwan, Denmark, Guatemala, Germany and Cambodia.

The festival also includes Q&A sessions that will be held online due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The 2020 edition of the event will be held by Taiwan’s National Human Rights Museum in September.
