‘The Pink Line’ to vie at Italian fest

Iran short ‘The Pink Line’ becomes finalist at Corto e a Capto filmfest in Italy.

Iranian short film ‘The Pink Line’ is to vie at the Corto e a Capto- Premio Mario Puzo Film Festival in Italy.  

Directed by Bayan Zarrabi, the short is in the run for a Gaveli Woman Award – Premio Gaveli Donna at the 6th edition of the Italian film event. The award honors films which are against violence on women and their discrimination.

‘The Pink Line’ narrates the story of Faezeh, a woman who suspects to be pregnant right on the verge of her separation.

The film has already been screened at various global events, including the Tupelo Film Festival in the US, the Int’l Oriental Film Festival of Geneva in Switzerland, the Canberra Short Film Festival in Australia and the Int’l Female Film Festival Malmo in Sweden.

The Corto e a Capto- Premio Mario Puzo film festival aims to host films from around the world hoping to provoke thought and inspire hope.

The latest edition of the fest, which has also recieved Iranian shorts ‘Echo’, ‘Azadeh’ and ‘The Heavy Shadows of the Crow’, is slated for August 18-23, 2020.
