Bangladeshi Inter University fest awards 4 Iran short films

The Int’l Inter University Short filmfest in Bangladesh awards 4 Iranian shorts.

The International Inter University Short Film Festival (IISUFF) in Bangladesh has awarded four Iranian short titles.

From among 17 Iranian short films that were screened at various categories of the 12th edition of the Bangladeshi event, four titles have been picked as winners.

Saman Hosseinpour and Ako Zand-Karimi’s acclaimed short film ‘Slaughter’ received the highest honor of the event by winning the Best International Short Film award.

Parsa Bozorgani’s ‘Howling’ grabbed the Best Short Documentary award.

The One Minute Short category of the IISUFF picked Asghar Besharati’s ‘Chal’ as the recipient of its top prize.

And Siavash Eidani’s ‘The Note’ won the Best Film Award at the Short Film on Refugee section of the festival.

Starting from 2007 and organized by Dhaka University Film Society in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the 12th IIUSFF was held online over the coronavirus pandemic on July 28-30, 2020.
