HUMANO fest to screen ‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’

Iranian ‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’ is to go on screen at the 2020 HUMANO Film Festival in Mexico.

Iranian short animation ‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’ is selected to compete at the 3rd edition of the HUMANO Human Rights Film Festival in Mexico.

The 6-min animation, written and directed by Amir-Shahab Mehdizadeh, narrates the story of two very young vendors who sell their goods alongside the beach.

One of them sells fish in plastic bags and the other sells paintings of free fishes in the sea.

The short animation was previously screened at the 2020 Make Art Not War festival in the US and the 2020 edition of the Festival Film Bahari in Indonesia.

The Humano film festival rewards films with a focus on human rights-related themes. The festival invites amateur and professional artists to express themselves through cinema and defend those who do not have access to a decent life.

The upcoming edition of the festival will be held on September 17-20, 2020.
