Greek fest presenting Iranian animation ‘H2ope’

The 4th Chaniartoon - Chania Cartoon and Animation Festival in Greece is presenting Iranian animation ‘H2ope’.

The 4th edition of the Chaniartoon - Chania Cartoon and Animation Festival in Greece is hosting Iranian animation ‘H2ope’.

The short 3D animation, produced by Hoorakhsh Studio, an animation and game studio in Tehran, is about the water crisis.

Made by Ashkan Rahgozar, Negin Khajehee and Tala Porbaha, the 6-minute animation narrates the story of the significance of water with the participation of 20 children and teenagers.

The Chaniartoon is an annual festival dedicated to comic, illustration and animation.

The 4th Chaniartoon will be held on the Greek island of Crete in Chania on September 11-20, 2020.

Hoorakhsh Studio is the producer of the acclaimed movie ‘The Last Fiction’, which was among the submitted works for consideration in the animated feature film category for the 92nd Academy Awards and won several awards at different global events.

‘The Last Fiction’ recounts a story from Persian poet Ferdowsi’s epic masterpiece Shahnameh (Book of Kings).

The 120-minute animated movie narrates the story of Zahhak and covers the events from the end of Jamshid’s reign up to the beginning of Afaridoun’s reign - two influential rulers in Shahnameh.
