‘The Fifth Sun’ to go on ifilm schedule

ifilm English TV is to start airing ‘The Fifth Sun’ from Monday night.

ifilm English TV has scheduled to start airing ‘The Fifth Sun’ from Monday night.

Airing of the series, produced by Davoud Hashemi and directed by Alireza Afkhami, will start on September 14, 2020.

‘The Fifth Sun’ narrates the story of a poor young man named Mohsen, who lives in war-stricken Tehran, along with his mother and sister.

Things change for him when he finds a mysterious sun pendant that causes him to travel 20 years a head in time.

Now he needs to make sense of everything that’s happened and figure out a way to get back to the life in his own time.

Hamid Goudarzi, Reza Tavakkoli, Pendar Akbari, Mahvash Sabrkon, Esmaeel Khalaj, Shahram Qaedi, Maryam Kaviani, Shabnam Qolikhani and Mehdi Solouki are among the cast members of the series.

‘The Fifth Sun’, made in 2009, will replace the series ‘Vafa’, to be aired every night at 18:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 00:00, 09:00 and 15:00 (all GMT times). The series is comprised of 21 episodes.
