Busan fest to show ‘The Slaughterhouse’

Iran feature ‘The Slaughterhouse’ is to screen at the Busan Int’l Filmfest in South Korea.

Iranian feature film ‘The Slaughterhouse’ has been scheduled to go on screen at the 25th edition of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in South Korea.

Abbas Amini’s ‘The Slaughterhouse’ will be showcased at the A Window on Asian Cinema section of the S. Korean film event.

Produced by Javad Norouzbeigi, the movie is a narrative of some contemporary social issues.

The story of the film revolves around Amir, a young man who has been deported from France. For the sake of his father, Amir is engaged in a shocking crime.

The cast list of the flick includes Hassan Pour-Shirazi, Baran Kosari, Mani Haqiqi and Amir-Hossein Fathi.

‘The Slaughterhouse’ had its theatrical debut at the 38th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Founded in 1996, the BIFF is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia.

The 25th edition of the fest will be held on October 21-30, 2019.
