Iranian ‘Pass’ is screened at Shaan-e-awadh Int’l filmfest in India.

Iranian short film ‘Pass’ has been screened at the Shaan-e-awadh International Film Festival (SAIFF) in India.

The film, directed by Elika Abdollahi, was among the titles selected to be showcased at the main competition section of the 9th edition of the Indian film event.

‘Pass’, which aims to reduce social harms, is about two friends who get stuck in a weird situation due to an accident.

The cast list of the film includes Aziz Nemati, Somayyeh Rahimi, Shadab Kokabi, Arsam Hossein-Panahhi, Niha Sheikhi and Souran Rezvanizadeh.

The 11-minute short, that counts as Abdollahi’s first directorial experience, has already been screened at a number of film events, including the Asoric Film Festival in Iran, the Tassvir Film Festival in Iran and The Concordia Film Festival in Canada.

The set objective for the SAIFF is to encourage the young people to learn about filmmaking and also to go beyond that and join the film industry and make some works of art.

This year’s edition of the fest was held on November 20-22.
