Iranian animation ‘Echo’ to vie at Venezuelan fest

The 2020 Int’l Green Film and Video Festival in Venezuela is to host Iranian animation ‘Echo’.

Iranian animation ‘Echo’ has been selected to compete at the 8th edition of the International Green Film and Video Festival (Known as Festiverd Venezuela).

Directed by Barzan Rostami, the 7-minute animation is about understanding and perception of wildlife and environmental abuse, as well as its consequences on the human race.

The film has been showcased at a number of global events, including the R.E.D International Film Festival in Norway, the Snake Alley Festival of Film in the US, and the International Tour Film Festival in Italy.

The film won an award for Best Short Film at the Southern Cone International Film Festival in Mexico and the 13th Smaragdni eco film festival in Croatia honored the flick with its best animation award.

Most recently, ‘Echo’ won the Best Sound Designing award at the 7th Pink City International Short Film Festival in India and the Special Jury Prize at the 18th biannual Włodzimierz Puchalski International Nature Film Festival in Poland.

The Festiverd Venezuela aims to showcase works that are related to protection of environment.

The event is slated for December 1-13, 2020.
