A number of Iranian actors, filmmakers, documentarians and cinema artists have expressed their condolences over the martyrdom of Iran's leading nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, and condemned the Friday assassination of him, whose responsibility lies with the Israeli regime.
In a Sunday statement, Parviz Parastouee, Ebrahim Hatamikia, Kamal Tabrizi and Majid Majidi joined Reza Mirkarimi, Narges Abyar, Maziar Miri, Rasoul Sadr-Ameli, Atila Pesyani, Farhad Qaemian, Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, Fereshteh Taerpour, Homayoun Assadian, Mohammad-Mehdi Askarpour, Manouchehr Shahsavari, Akbar Nabavi and several other cinema artists in condemning the targeted killing of Fakhrizadeh, deputy defense minister and head of the ministry’s Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research (SPND), near Tehran, by terrorists with suspected links to Israel.
“We heard the news of your cruel assassination and regretted why we didn’t know you as well as the enemies of our country. It’s a little bit late, but we are really proud of you for the scientific endeavors that you made anonymously and willingly in honor of our beloved country," the statement reads.
"Now we as a group of documentarians, actors and documentary filmmakers are ready to condemn the assassination of this great man, to introduce to the world his scientific path and his efforts for peace.”
Iranian nuclear scientist Fakhrizadeh was martyred in a multi-pronged terrorist attack by a number of assailants in Absard city of Tehran Province’s Damavand County on Friday.
