FICE to screen Iran’s ‘The Summer of the Swans’

The Ensenada Int’l Film Festival is to screen Iranian ‘The Summer of the Swans’.

The Ensenada International Film Festival (FICE) in Argentina has been set to screen Iranian short flick ‘The Summer of the Swans’.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘The Summer of the Swans’, directed by Maryam Samadi, will take part in the 2nd edition of the FICE.

The film is about Rasoul, a handicapped boy who can’t go fishing on the lake along with other children of his village.

Based on a story he has been told by his grandmother, Rasoul believes that his wishes will come true when he see swans.

The “FICE's search will focus on cinematographic works that address a critical, poetic or aesthetic reflection around water. In this sense, water may appear as a central or tangential element in the development of narratives,” an online submission platform reads.

The 2nd edition of the festival will take place on December 12-19, 2020.
