Iranian ‘The Visit’ to vie in Hong Kong

Iranian ‘The Visit’ is to compete at the 2021 ifva Awards in China.

Iranian short flick ‘The Visit’ has been selected to compete at the 26th ifva Awards in China.

Directed by Azadeh Mousavi, the 14-minute film is about Elaheh who is allowed to visit her husband, a prisoner, after six months.

She and her little daughter, Tara, have one single day to get ready for the significant meeting.

The film has previously attended the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France and the Palm Springs International Film Festival in the US.

The ifva (formerly the Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards) aims to encourage creativity and innovation.

The fest provides an opportunity for filmmakers from different regions in Asia to come together and share knowledge and experience.

The 2021 edition of the event will announce the winners in March.
