The 13th Sofia MENAR Film Festival in Bulgaria is set to screen Iranian short film ‘The Other’.
The short, co-directed by Saman Hosseinpour and Ako Zand-Karimi, is about a traditional man.
After the death of his wife, he suspects that she had been having an affair.
Earlier reports said Iranian feature films ‘A Hairy Tale’, ‘Dance with Me’, ‘Forty-seven’, 'Sophomore Year of My School', ‘Just 6.5’, ‘The Warden’, and ‘The Badger’ will also be screened at Sofia MENAR.
Sofia MENAR Film Festival “presents the best of Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa cinema productions, including feature films, documentaries and short projects”, according to an online submission platform.
The festival “makes Bulgarian audience familiar with the culture and traditions of the Islamic world”.
The upcoming edition of Sofia MENAR will take place online due to the coronavirus pandemic on January 15-31.
