Opening up about his motive behind his action, Navazesh said that it all started when he was feeling homesick during his military service.
Navazesh gets into talking with another guard who tells him about his experience in military service in the prisons; and described to Navazesh the hardships of the prison and the problems of the prisoners.
“And that was when I compared those difficult and homesick conditions of mine with the conditions of the prisoners,” Navazesh adds.
There he was triggered to spend his basic pay to free a prisoner so that a family can get back together.
