‘The Marriage Project’ enters Imagineindia Int’l Film Festival

The 2021 Imagineindia Int'l Film Festival in Spain is to screen Iranian documentary ‘The Marriage Project’.

The 2021 Imagineindia International Film Festival in Spain has introduced Iranian documentary ‘The Marriage Project’ as its 2021 official selection.

The 20th edition of the Imagineindia, which will be held in the Spanish capital of Madrid from May 17 to 31, will screen Hessam Eslami and Atieh Attarzadeh coproduction ‘The Marriage Project’.

‘The Marriage Project’ is about the life and challenges facing the patients of a mental hospital.

Included in the list of the doc’s festival screenings are the 12th Millennium International Documentary Film Festival in Belgium, the 51st Visions du Réel International Film Festival in Switzerland and the 17th Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival (GZDOC) in China.

Iranian director and producer Mehdi Rahmani is a member of the jury at the 20th Imagineindia festival.

The 2020 edition of the Imagineindia festival bestowed the award for best second actor to Iranian actor Hamed Behdad for his role in ‘Castle of Dreams’.

The ImagineIndia is mainly devoted to promote cooperation between the Indian Subcontinent, the rest of Asia, and Spain along with the European Union, according to the festival’s website.
