US to host Iranian women’s film festival online

The US has been set to host the 2021 Iranian Women’s Film Festival (IWFF) on the occasion of International Women’s Month.

The festival will be held online and consists of three sections of feature, documentary and short films.

A total number of 22 films made by Iranian female directors will be screened at the event.

One of the most important parts of the program is screening of nine documentaries made by Rakhshan Banietemad, an Iranian veteran director.

Some of the other works to be presented at the event are directed by Negar Azarbaijani, Mona Zandi, Parisa Bakhtavar, and Narges Abyar.

Venera Films and Iranian American Women Foundation will present virtual edition of the IWFF on March 8-31, 2021.
