Find cure where sea meets desert

Tang Harbour Village is must-see travel destination in Iran.

Tang Harbour Village in the Iranian province of Sistan and Balouchestan is where the sea finds solace in the arms of the desert.

The region that is called Bandar-e Tang in Persian is only one of many tourist attractions in the southern side of the country that calls for plentitude of visitors every year.

Regardless of being located in a remote area, the harbor village is still so popular with travelers due to its special geography. The desert is stretched alongside of the Oman Sea.

Walking on the hot sands of the desert and breathing in the sea air is not the only attraction of the place. The people come here to see the Gel Afshan phenomenon- little volcanic-like eruptions that emit mud instead of lava.

This natural phenomenon is not only a treat to the eye, but it is also therapeutic for the minerals that it has. Although you can catch sight of Gel Afshan any season of the year, summers are the best time to pay a visit to the region.
