The 36th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival (Fiff) has uncovered the poster of its official competition section, Cinema Salvation.
Revealing the new poster created by Hamid-Reza Beidaqi, the organizers announced on Saturday that a total of 15 feature films and 15 short films will be selected to compete in Cinema Salvation section.
Filmmakers from Turkey, Italy, China, Bulgaria, Afghanistan, the UK, Egypt, France, Iraq, Palestine and several other countries have so far submitted their titles to the secretariat of the festival.
Submission is still open and the deadline is set for March 1. The shortlist of competing movies will be announced later in March or April.
A jury of five foreign and two Iranian members whose names will be announced later will judge the films.
The Fiff 2018 will present a Golden Simorgh to the best film and five Silver Simorghs for best director, best film script, best actor, best actress, and best artistic achievement.
Supervised by Iranian director Reza Mirkarimi, the 36th edition of the Fajr International Film Festival is slated for April 19-27, 2018, in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
